Bill Kelly recently turned the tables on Tery O’Malley to record a six minute video interview.  In the interview, they discuss the importance of operational due diligence, the role of the SEC in overseeing private funds, the importance of trade associations, and the latest from the Operational Leaders podcast.

Bill and Tery also discuss the upcoming free webinar – How the SEC Regulates Private Funds.   The webinar will feature top current and former SEC officials talking about how the Commission is structured – the roles of different divisions and offices – and how rules, regulations and guidance are formulated and ultimately enforced.

The event will be co-sponsored by the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) and hosted by Suzan Rose from AIMA.  Tery O’Malley will serve as moderator and be joined by panelists Michael Neus, the SEC’s Private Funds Attorney Fellow; Dabney O’Riordan, co-head of the SEC Enforcement Division’s Asset Management Unit; and John H. Walsh, former Director of the SEC Division of Examinations (formerly OCIE).

The one-hour webinar will take place on Tuesday, April 6 at 11:00 am.  To learn more about the free webinar and register for the event, please visit the AIMA webpage.
